Pearl button

A mother-of-pearl button, created c 1795, with a scalloped edge and a circular inset of silver-plated metal which is decorated with small gilt ovals. A pearl boss is set at the centre of the metal disc, and the button has a copper pin shank with a drilled brass ring.
