The Revolutionary Players website was created by Dr Malcolm Dick, Project Manager and Kate Iles, Project Officer as part of the Revolutionary Players Digitisation Project which ran from January 2002 until May 2004. It was a regional project which involved work with archives, libraries, museums, holders of private collections, researchers and content writers across the former counties of Derbyshire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire in the English Midlands. The website contains images of material held in different institutions. The location of each image is described under each image on the site.
The website is owned by Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery. BM&AG should only be contacted for general questions about the Revolutionary Players website or to seek information about material held in BM&AG’s collections. Specific requests for information about images held elsewhere or the history they represent should be directed to the institution concerned.
